For a brief period Google plus allowed people who already had Google plus invites to share links with them to allow them to join using a simple exploit . But be careful with sensitive information such as your email/passwords because there are countless people looking to seize the opportunity to steal your information. Many reported cases have shown spammers promising invites only to sign users up for countless advertisements. There was also this exploit which allowed for anyone to make a Google URL do just about anything they want. Many users have also tried to turn their invites into cash via merchant services such as ebay. In the end be smart with your information. The safest way to get in is via the sign up page at plus.google.com, remember patients is a virtue.

Google Trends is great because it shows how often a particular search-term is entered relative to the total search-volume across the world.
